Raising Confident Multi-Racial Children John Anselmi
This fun and supportive workshop brings together parents/caregivers of children with multiple-heritage backgrounds to share in conversation about the joys and difficulties of parenting. Facilitators provide education on topics of race, racism, and identity and give suggestions and examples of age appropriate books, toys and activities that reflect the mixed experience back to children.
Special Topic: Raising Confident Multi-Racial Children as Single or Separated/Divorced Parents:
If your children have mixed heritage backgrounds and you are co-parenting or parenting on your own, you are faced with an extra challenge to help your children value their unique identities and to feel whole regardless of the background of the parent they spend the most time with. Facilitators provide additional support and education on this topic.
